  1. Awesome job. I am looking forward to getting to 20 but 50 that is amazing!
  2. Awesome! I hope 12lbs makes that much difference for me. What an encouragement!
  3. Thanks for posting these again Michelle, it always helps me refocus on what to get and it helps me work around the fact that my family will be here 4 days post op for a visit and lots of food of course. Blessings!
  4. Since my surgery is this coming week. I did watch it and maybe I shouldn't have. I found it interesting that this dr. put saline in at the time of surgery and then did a blind fill 5 weeks out. That seemed a little scary to me. Although there is part of me that would like the fill during surgery to hopefully cut down on trips to TJ but oh well. With the $$ saved going to OCC I should complain about the future trips. I'm sure they will never add up to 8-10 thousand dollars which is how much more I would have paid here.
  5. Thanks Michelle, This is just what I have been looking for. I know you posted Dr. Miranda's guidelines for post op but I can't print it to keep handy. Do you happen to have it in another format that you could email to me? Blessings!
  6. I like the flinstones complete and they have everything in them including iron to keep you healthy esp. in the liquid phase when it is hard to get enough nutrients in liquid calories. I am stressing a little about getting enough calories to survive during that time. I have looked at all the clear liquid things I can think of and there are just no calories to speak of in them.
  7. Congrats! I can't wait to join you in the band group this next week!
  8. Another option might be going to a larger town for the colonoscopy so the small town things is not an issue.
  9. Michelle, I just noticed the 47 yeah!
  10. May 3rd I helped my son move from an upstairs apartment definitely 2 days worth of walking and carrying. Good thing it was before surgery instead of after. Blessings!
  11. Lisa, These are great but I must have missed the swim suit one. You are doing awesome and I am inspired.
  12. Charlotte, My Surgery is scheduled for Thurs. so I will probably still be at the clinic on Thurs. night but my hubby will be by his lonely self at the hotel from 5:00 on on Thurs. so I'll tell him to look for you all in the evening. His name is David.
  13. McCracken, Yes, I have band date of 8th and I know Jena, Jackie, Lisa, alana are right around there. We will probably all be running into each other. I for one can't believe how fast it is coming! Blessings!
  14. Jena, Wow 25 lbs you are doing great. I am only at 9.5 but Dr. Miranda told me to lose 10 so I guess I will probably make it. Blessings!
  15. Lisa, I am on May 8th too. Jaqualine, Alana, and Jena are all there about the same time as us. Hope we all meet up.
  16. Mom12 here, I am 45 years old. I am from Colorado Springs, I have lived here for 16 years with my awesome husband and children. I have 7 children ages 20, 18,16, 9,7,5,5,. I grew up in Africa where my family were missionaries. I love God first and my relationship with him is the most important thing in my life followed by my husband of 22 years and my children. I have not been overweight all of my life. I seemed to be able to get the baby fat off after the pregnancies until the last three. After each of them I just kept on ballooning. I have hope where my weight is concerned for the first time in ages. I believe the band will be the tool I need to not only take the weight off, but the keep it off for life. Blessings!
  17. May 1st - I used my eliptical for 20 minutes and walked for 10 outside.
  18. I am 45 and I know I can't lose the weight like I have been able to up until now. Even when I was younger though gaining it back was an issue. I will be banded the 8th of May!
  19. Michelle, I will join at the Gold level for regularity and time. However since my surgery is May 8th. I will only be able to walk for the first couple of weeks of this. May 1-6 I will use my eliptical for at least 30 minutes a day. My 7-21 I will walk walk walk, May 22-31 I will alternate between walking and eliptical as my recovery allows.
  20. Yes, I am scheduled for the 8th and will see you all there. I can hardly believe I fly to SD 1 week from today. This time next week my preops and least and Carolyn says possible my surgery will be over. I got the certified check today and I was just so excited!!!
  21. Did you tell the border guards going and coming the purpose of your trip? If any of you bought Perscription Meds did they give you greif about that? Anything else that would help speed the crossing?
  22. I am leaving the 7th. I am bringing personal items plus protein water-powdered, chicken and beef boullion, tea, vitamins, tylenol meltaways, Phazyme, and dresses (I have been warned that pants are very uncomfortable after the surgery) also comfy walking shoes. Blessings!
  23. keep trying your best. This is worth it. I can't wait to see you there. Walk, run, play, jump do whatever you have to. The surgery is definitely going to be worth it and this preop diet is only very temporary
