  3. I really want to be able to use the CO fill center after fill number one but I can't find anyone who has had experience good or bad with them.

  5. lisa good to hear from you. I just listen to my body. When I am truly hunger and not just craving something I eat protein first, then veggies, then carbs. I eat really slowly, don't drink while eating and chew well. Then when I am just satisfied not stuffed I stop because I know that I will give myself permission to eat again as soon as I am truly hungry. It does mean I may eat more than 3 times on certain days but then most days I just do protein water for breakfast because I am not truly hungry but I know I need to get my metabolism moving.

  8. Definitely will pray and expect him back safe and sound and what a fun opportunity for you to make a big (smaller) impression on him when he returns.
  9. I love boiled eggs too but they didn't agree with my band and that is the only thing to this time that I PB on so chew very very carefully. My first breakfast was I egg over easy, 1/4 pc. toast with tiny amount of Peanut Butter and I was stuffed. My first Lunch was a turkey slice, a small pc. of avacado, a couple of ritz crackers and a couple bites of carrot (chewed to death). My first dinner was 1/8 beef frank, 1/8 brat, about 1 oz. steak all done on the grill, 3 small bites of baked beans and 3 small bites of grilled potatoes and I felt like I have just eaten a huge feast. I do still PB is I eat to fast or don't chew really well. Believe me you don't want to PB, it is horrible!!!!

  13. I am really careful with solid, solid food and nothing but solid food but the only time I feel any restriction at all is if I don't chew something well or I eat to fast otherwise I could probably eat all day. I chose instead to limit my portions and not eat again until I am truly hungry.
  14. I am in Colorado Springs and will be making a decision about using it after I go back to TJ for my first fill. I want them to make sure everything is ok after the surgery but then hopefully Thornton will be my destination instead. My concern is that I have posted several times about Thornton and can't find anyone who uses them.
  15. If you are past 21 days post op that is too many calories to be taking in liquid form. If you are still on a liquid diet then you need the cals anyway so I would go with the regular muscle milk which tastes much better and doesn't have the sweetner after taste.
  16. Dr. O told me not to diet. Just to eat in the right order and eat when hungry, stop when full. He even said Eggs, Bacon, toast eat that just follow the guidelines as you do it for chewing, small bites, and taking time to sit and eat. The only restriction he said should apply to what you eat is no liquid cals. We are all smart enough to know what is good for us and we should focus on that but he said to be sure and not ban anything because it will cause cravings.

I was banded 5/8 and have had the same problem down 8 first two weeks and nothing since until this am whenI got .5 of a lb. wasn't great but I can tell you I was excited to at least see the scale move. I am eating very little and I do have restriction. I work really hard to get over 800 cals a day. I keep my protein up and everything else good but am having trouble getting enough fiber so have wondered if that is it. If you want good tracking try fitday.com, it is free and really helps me keep track so eventually it has to turn into loss right????
  19. I took bonine because I also get air sick and had no ill effects as a result just take as little water as possible with it since you are fasting.
  20. Lynn, If you can book fill 2 on June 20th see if you can get it sometime around 12:00 and we can travel to and from airport together. I am already renting a car and would love the company.   23. Elaine, I will be arriving at SD airport and renting a car at 9:00 AM. I will drive to border and park car on US side. My fill apt. is 12:00 PM at OCC. Will probably hang out for a little bit after fill just to have a drink and see how things are going then I will take taxi back to border walk across and pick up car. After that I should still have several hours before returning to car to airport by 7:00 to make my 8:30 PM flight home. If you would like a ride from the border to anywhere between there and the airport, I would be game. I was thinking about taking my book and heading to the beach for a few hours in SD before returning to the airport. It's not everyday I am near the ocean. Blessings! Valerie(Mom12)
