  1. Very nice of you Dawnie! Bebe... I noticed you haven't had a fill yet, and it's been like over 8 weeks... do you still get full fairly easy, or is there a reason you haven't decided to get one??
  2. Yes Cathy, that is absolutely normal, considering you just had your surgery. The area around your band is still swollen and healing, so you will get full alot faster. I'm 4 weeks post-op, and still get full pretty fast. The minute you start feeling full, stop. Do not push it.

  8. I bought two bottles of the Centrum Liquid Vitamin, and force myself to take it every day (if I remember). I think I'm going to take my 2nd bottle back, and buy Flinstones!
  9. Congratulations to both of you on your weight loss... you're doing great! And Kimra.. you haven't even been banded and look at you go girl!! Great job!! Seeings how you are so tight in the morning (your husband must like that ) I wonder if just having a protein shake (room temp) might be a good idea for a while until it settles down? I haven't had a fill yet, but just a thought. Anita
  10. Mom 12. I have been buying yogurt with fruit in it in the really small sizes. I grab one every morning when I'm packing my lunch. I also have strawberries, canteloupe and cherries all washed up in the fridge and separated in little plastic containers. I grab 2 of those. I have small lunch size packets of Hummous and I have that with 3 Whole Grain Stoned Wheat Thins. I also keep hard boiled eggs and roasted turkey breast (deli). In my cupboard I have tuna, salmon, soup, etc.. Hope this helps... (Oh.. I also keep a bag of salad at work, and a couple of lien cuisine's in the freezer at work) Anita You have lost 29 lbs!!!   11. Yes it sure did Will... thank you. I knew I could count on you for advice! I also think cutting up food into little tiny pieces is a good idea as well. I'm going to a barbeque on Sunday, and I will do that. I found out that eating cold chicken doesn't go down too well either. Hey Will.. or anyone else out there... if you eat cottage cheese, did you know how much sodium it has in it! I couldn't believe it. It's like 500 mg per cup. HUGE! Why do so many things have to be so high in salt.. cottage cheese? Go figure?

  13. Hey Amber! How's it going? By the sounds of your dream, you're doing great. What a great feeling that must have been. Now you know what you will look like when you get skinny! BEA-utiful! So how are things going for you? I'm doing really good. Surprised at how full I get with such little food. My favourite meal out is breakfast, so the other day, I took my handsome boys out for breakfast, and I ordered the same as usual. An omelete. I normally used to eat the whole omelet, two pieces of toast, and hashbrowns. My son wanted pancakes, so instead of the toast and hash, I got pancakes. He ate them, and all I could eat was 1/2 of the omelet and I was full! I couldn't believe it! I also saved about $8 off the bill, because he ate my pancakes, and I didn't order tea. Double bonus! I hope you're enjoying the same success.
  14. Have you eaten anything that could have possible "scratched" your throat while you were swallowing it? That has happened to me before. You can get Sterisol, gargle and spit..that will help. You can also ask your pharmacist, and they can recommend something for you as well. Keep in touch and let us know how you're doing.
  15. OMG Tanya... that was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing! Did you reallly buy all that stuff?? haha.. I can relate with bringing back 75% of it.. I did the same thing. And I still have 4 of the 5 big cartons of Chicken Broth that I bought, because it tastes like shit.. yuk!

  20. Wow.. all such great ideas. It has strongly been suggested to me by my counsellor that I am seeing, that I write out a meal plan every week in advance. What I am going to eat everyday, and grocery shop for those foods on the weekend. She said you should never "sway off" if you can say to yourself, I can't wait to get home and have ??? for dinner.. instead of saying.. I have no idea what I'm going to have for dinner, so maybe I'll just through the drive thru. Way too easy. I'm going to start this weekend, and I will let you all know how I do. You should also look under "Doctor's Corner" as Dr. O has posted two great write-ups in there. Be strong.. be positive.. and think yourself thin! It will take time, but as Will said.. Look at Lisa... it can be done, and it will be done, by each and every one of us.. and at all different times.

Just remember to stay on my good side Will, or I may have to print a picture of you, and carry it at the bottom of a paper bag in my purse! lol Which reminds me... do any of you ever carry little bags or ??? in your purse just in case?   24. Okay... so... I was in Walmart, hungry, and wanted something to eat. Figured Almonds were good and healthy. Picked up a can, opened it, and grabbed a handful. Chewed, chewed, and chewed some more, but obviously not enough. So... I ALMOST started to PB. Mouth watered, I almost went over to the jewellry counter and asked if they had any kleenex. I managed to keep it all in, but I can still feel it lodged or something. It's been about 45 min since it happened. I have walked around alot, and not sure now if I should try and drink something or what to do. Can get some advice here please and thank you.. ( : Anita
