count me in, I need to come visit my mom and brothers anyway, weekend day would be best, I would come down on a friday and come back on a monday. A girl named carolyn was banded the same day as my self and she lives in portland, I will try to get in contact with her, she goes by caro on the forum, but hasn't been on for awhile. this should be fun

Hi good luck, I have not given up any food, I just eat less of whatever it is I want, I actually had french fries for the first time in 2 years! I only ate 3 but i was satisfied. There are some foods like bread, that I think twice about just because they sometimes get stuck. I love my band. Have a good day and I'm going now to go eat a taco!!

Hi ajay, alot of us from washington use the nw fill center located in Arlington, however they do travel, not to sure how close to you though. They have no problem seeing Mexican patients. I am under 160 and they still fill me, so you should not have any problems. their fills cost 175.00, their web site is http://northwestfills.com/education.php, hope this helps. I also got banded after gaining back weight after using diet pills. over and over again for that matter! No one here knows I had it done except my husband and son. Julie, I am so glad you were able to find a fill center close to you. I would never want to go through that pain again, There was a topic not to long ago about going back to Tijuana for our fills, and many thought that was the best option, however I think what you and I went through, (I to had an overfill) That finding a Dr. or Nurse closer to home to handle our fills and after care is more important. Although I feel Dr. Ortiz is the best in his field, I don't think they are to concerned with after care. Hope you get to feeling better soon. .

Hi Julie. I know what your going through, I had the same thing happen after my second fill, I lived like that for a week before going back to have some taken out. I was told it would not have gotten any better and could have caused my band to slip. However there are others on here that rode it out and it did get better. Luckily for me my fill was local (2 hrs. away) Hope you start to feel better soon.

My weight can change 3 to 5 lbs in a day, so I only weigh myself when my rings can slip off my fingers with ease. I retain alot of water. If my rings are really tight, then I know it's not a good time to weigh. Whenever I see a gain on the scales I get so bummed and want to eat everything in sight. Lately I have only weighed once a month.

I just did a 45 minute turbo jam excercise video, and I can still breath I always felt I needed my phentermine to get me through my workouts. Not anymore. This is a major acomplishment for me. YIPEE YIPEE

My fills have been done blind. My port is also tilted but they could feel it, and they are the ones that told me that. They have hit my port the first try each time. I think it is a personal choice, even though I saved a bundle on the surgery, I still don't have the extra money to travel to Mexico for my fills. However if I felt there was something wrong I would not hesitate to use my credit card and return to Mexico, for now, blind fills are fine for me. Laadeedaa, did they fix your port or are you going back to have them fix it? Or do they even bother? Did they say why it tilted? Thanks

I am 4 months post op and I still get the ache in the left shoulder, I still haven't figured out what triggers it yet It's not as often but still happens. It's not that bad and I would never consider not having the surgery because of it.

Taco Bell used to be my favorite, but gave it up after being banded, I never thought of the pintos and cheese. Thank you so much for the info. The nearest one is over an hour away, but the next time I'm near there I will be ordering that.

Sounds like the port to me. Mine sticks out now, but I had a tummy tuck years ago and was a lower bmi when I had my surgery. Once I hit my goal, I plan on going back and seeing if they can move it. My port is also tilted so not sure if that makes it stick out more. If you look close at my pictures you can see it. My port still hurts and it's been 4 months. I just need to save my money to get back to occ.

I have been at the same weight for 1 month now, but I haven't gained. In the days before the band I would have already gained back most of the weight. You should be very proud of yourself..

Oh,tequila is not carbonated so no need to wait 6 months. However it is empty calories. but sometimes a girl has to do what a girl has to do good luck to you and your husband. Oh how I wish I lived back in Portland, I get so home sick at times and sick of these borders

Hey Taz, I live in Point Roberts, close enough eh??? quite a few of us in this area use nw fill center in arlington washington, about 1 1/2 hrs away. thier web site is northwestfills.com, they are so nice and their fills are 175.00, they are trying to figure out a location in bellingham to do fills once a month. My son was banded in January and has lost over 100 lbs. I was banded in May and have lost 36..We live off lean cusines and smart ones, we both find that we had portion control problems. We go out to eat once in awhile and we usualy split our dinner, I love the band, You will love it too, good luck in your decision.
