Yeah, that post op glue is gross looking and made me feel dirty!!! It will come off, the longer it stays on your cuts the better for you.

Hi Trina, Yeah it happened to me, they kept filling me (3 times) and I was not getting restrction, so they pulled out the fluid and found only 1 CC I had three fills and was supost to have 1.7 in there. She put in .5 on my fourth fill and I now have restriction. It's a mixed blessing to have restriction. LOL Barb

When I am sitting up, the port is behind to slightly above the incision...but when I lay down, the port is about an inch below the cut mark.

The OCC clearly told me no ab work for 3 months, I did wait, I was afraid of the port twisting.

I was taken OFF my BP meds yesterday! The Dr checked for kidney and liver damage, there was none. I find my husband to be more appealing to me I keep dropping jean sizes Hearing coments from neighbors that they see how my face looks different Getting looks from strange men (I was invisable before) Getting to read and get support from this forum Going for a whole hour on the tread mill with very little sweat (10 minutes was a killer and I was wet) My headaches have gone away I rarely crave sweets any more, I look at them in a negative way, so I care too much more about myself to eat that crap 99 % of the time anyway The ladies that I met while getting banded and have remained in touch with Having my husband proud of my accomplishments

Jessica, so many of us didn't lose anything until the first fill. Some even gained during banster hell, you are showing yourself how well you are going to do at reaching your goal. YEAH!

Hi, I met him. Dr Ortiz was later getting in for sergury so Dr M talked to me before hand in my room. He was a beautiful man is all I can say, he does all the bands with Dr O and when Dr O is away, he will do them without Dr O. The thing I remember most about him is what he said to me just before being banded: "This is a place of God and Healing"

Oh Cathy, so sorry. I once went for over a month! I had a blockage the size of a small bowling ball and almost had to have surgery, it pasted with medication, tears and blood. My point to this grusome story is to not let it continue. Rub your tummy counter clockwise to help move things along in addition to taking whatever will work to get those toxins out! I think that the PB medication that I am taking (mostly a diuretic) is making me get stuck again. I try to drink a lot but is goes right through the kidneys and not the bowel. Gez Barbara

Hi Mail Mom, You could also try to call all the bariatric surgeons in your area, some of them will the fills for much less. Mine charges me 50 dollars a fill, and if I have to go back within three weeks, it's free. good luck, the band will work as a great tool, be patient. Barb

I met that same lady as I was leaving TJ. She was with her husband and had heard about OCC on Oprah. She was in the back of the van with here legs tucked and her knees under her chin. I would have loved to be thin enough to that. Your right, she is a lovely lady and her hubby was very nice too. I got banded on June 6th

Hello, My food does not get stuck and I am able to eat 2-4 cups of food before I feel full enough and still be comfortable. I find that after about 10-15 minutes after eating I let out a HUGE, LONG, LOUD burb that sounds like a pluged drain gurgerling down the blocked up sink. My question is: Am I doing something wrong? Is this okay or am I stretching out my pouch? The burb feels so good. And I feel so good after I do it. As long as no one is around. My husband finds it to be something to laugh at and a great amusment to him seeing that before the band I almost never farted or burbed around him. Welcome to the real world. My weight loss is very slow. I was stuck in the low 180's for over a month. When I broke that platue I got stuck in the one I am at now, I have been staying at 173-175 for the last three weeks. I eat 1200 cal and keep track on fitday.com also do an hour on the tread mill at least 5 days a week. Tomorrow I start belly dance classes. The doctors that I have been going to for fills for belives that I should have 5-6 fills over 6 months to reach my sweet spot. Grrr I have had three fills and I am at 1.7cc in my 4cc band. I am going to CT in one month and wanted to show off (I'm bad) my new body and would like a bigger fill, how do I get the PA to kick it up more for me? Okay there are more than one question here. It's chili here this morning, but this topic has warmed me up. I know that as the weight is coming off that the port is so much more noticable. I want to get it placed lower, but don't want to have to have the scar heal again.

I am going to take an introduction Belly Dance Class this month, it is four classes and they meet on Tuesday nights. This is big for me to get out of the house in the evening, I am always home at night. I can't wait, it sounds like a blast! Barbara

Hi Phoenix, My grown daughter and I have a condition that causes the tyroid to enlarge if we dont take thyroid supliments, I take Armour. It is a common one called Hasimotos Sythroiditis and it ts an imune decese. I'm sure your doctor will figure it out, but I can't see why they are making you wait until the 16th. The tyroid controls so many functions in your body...including your moods, painful periods, constipation, hair and skin, and of course weight, just to nae a few. Barb

Hello, thanks for the advice, I thought that I had read here on the forum that others had heart pain too, but it has been so long that I wanted to be sure. The three months with the band sometimes feels like tree years. You were all right it was GAS, becasue last night was unbeliveable!!!! I couldn't stop and they were loud and long. My husband said that he married his own whoopie cushion. LOL I can't believe so much air was in me. It went on for hours. Barbara

Hi Everyone, I think that eating gives me a pain in my heart. Even when I don't feel full, it feels like the restriction is showing itself with heart pain. This has been going on for a couple of months now. Am I alone in this or are any of you feeling tightness in the heart area? Please let me know, it is starting to worry me. I don't have any heart problems that I know of, I am due for my yearly phsyical in a couple of months. I think it is related to the band, do you??? Barb
