  1. Absolutely pack a sports bra. I'm only now (banded on the 9th) back in underwire.
  2. I do both depending on my mood and whether I just want the convenience of drinking versus eating. I haven't noticed any difference. Hope that helps!
  3. You are a total star!! You rock!!!!!! :lb10:
  4. Me too! It's a great scale!
  5. Nope and yup. Nail polish interferes with the heart monitor thingy on your finger so no fingernail polish. I had my toes done and it was no worries. Your toes are covered by those lovely surg sox! No make-up either. Sawry doll!
  6. hehe let's see -- Cream of -- Mushroom soup Tomato soup Broccoli soup Chicken soup Torilla soup Potato soup Chicken and beef broth Case of water Protein drinks I know, I'm an ass! hehe
  7. oooooOOooOH Thanks! Who knew?!
  8. I'm happy to have a more pleasant warning system then! Thanks for that.
  9. Yeah, Cedar is our big gruff food cop. His sense of humour is dry and sarcastic and I love that!
  10. OooOo Junior section and here's me just hoping to get out of XL! WTG girl!
  11. I was reading yesterday that fills are based on evening consumption not daily consumption. It seems to be common that day time, particularly mornings, are tough to eat through. One of the tips was to bump breaky to lunch, lunch to dinner, dinner to around seven or no later than two hours before bed. They did say there was a period of adjustment on new fills? I can't say with authority because I haven't had one yet.
  12. Yup, me too. Other than an angry port site I felt awesome! I sleep better now than I EVER have and I'm thankful for that byproduct. I was weeding the garden the week after and aside from losing my breath and getting dizzy I was fine. hehe. Right now all I'm really fighting is this swollen belly syndrome. I've taken every gas product I can get my hands on but nadda. I guess I just have to wait 'til it releases when it's ready. I still think it's all the dairy! I take Benefiber every day and cross my fingers!
  13. Uhm, I wish I could burp but nadda. Hiccups for sure and they come at the weirdest times. I'm not even eating with exception of creamies. Last night at like one in the morning I was catching up with the pvr for my shows and I started to hiccup out of the blue. All I had was water! Guess that's my future, huh?! hehe.
  14. LUV LUV LUV that new pic! You are stunning! WTG!
  15. You know I don't know?! His book was specific to burritos if I remember correctly. I can only assume that was the bean content? Far as I know tacos are veg, spice and hamburger aren't they? If that's the case I say HAVE AT 'ER and enjoy! Hugs! I'm too excited for you! I can't wait for you to "come to the other side!" girly! I know you're gonna be successful! I can feel it from here!
  16. I had ordered Dr. O's book from Amazon but I guess it was out of stock. Took two months to get it and it arrived AFTER I got home. I stopped in at our local Chapters/Inigo book outlet and I found: Weight Loss Surgery with the Adjustable Gastric Band: Everything You Need to Know Before and After Surgery to Lose Weight Successfully (Paperback) by Robert Sewell (Author), Linda Rohrbough (Author) This book answered every question I had, pre and post, and every question I didn't have. I found it to be an excellent read and comprehensive. I would get both. Let's hear a rousing cheer for your incredibily supportive hubby! Hip Hip HURRAY!!!!! =D>
  17. I actually didn't eat anything the day before. I would avoid Mexican if I were you. I was reading in Dr. O's book that foods like burritos, etc., actually added to the gas load during surgery and trust me you will be gassy enough after surgery without that added joy! hehe
  18. EXCELLENT POST!!!! =D>
  19. YAY for you, Denise! Way to go! Now, that's commitment!
  20. My site is still tender but hubby commented tonight that I look pregnant. My belly is rounded and taut. I can only guess it's all this dairy? I'm not loving it but I'm guessing this too shall pass.
  21. That's awesome! YAY for you!!!!!!!
  22. hehe Thanks hun! This whole food thing is weird for me. I'm not an egg eater and I have never been a fish eater unless it was halibut firmly wrapped in a ton of batter and deep fried. Yet here I am day dreaming of seafood, boiled eggs and tipaleta (sp) (Japanese cat fish). If someone had offered any of that to me prior to surgery I would definitely have given them a withering look and ordered fish and chips, a cheeseburger or a pizza! G'figure!
  23. OOOOH, that must be the answer. I went back to broths to switch up from creamies. Not a milk lover. That broth was extremely salty and I had to drink two bottles of water to ditch the taste. Thanks for that Lisa! That makes sense to me now.
  24. Sweetie, I don't know the technical answer but the logical one is our bodies have to adjust. I'm still on creamies and I lost a whopping ONE OUNCE today and I did not cheat one second! It's disappointing but I keep telling myself I have to stop micromanaging this and look at the big picture. I'm in a time game and I have to be patient. The weight will go as my body dictates. I now see how easy it is to be a slave to the scale.
