  1. I will be at the OCC tomorrow morning for my first fill, so if anyone is there, come say Hi I will be there with my daughter.
  2. That's great that everything went well. Have you noticed any difference just from drinking? Like do you get full faster, and are you not hungry throughout the day? I am anxious to see what happens after I get my fill tomorrow. I can't believe it's been 6 weeks, time flies! Well good luck to you as you start solids again
  3. It DOES suck!! I feel like I have really pigged out this week. I feel like I didn't even get the band, it's really weird. I guess I can blame my hunger on that TOM starting next week *sigh* I am actually looking forward to the 3 day liquid diet this weekend..lol. If anything it will give me a fresh start. Good luck!
  4. Good luck on your fill Christy. I will be going down to the OCC on friday for my first one. I am not expecting much in the way of restriction, considering I have the largest band, and from what I understand, it takes longer to get restriction. Hopefully, I have something though, because this week has been horrible in the way of eating, my appetite is back with a vengeance
  5. Awesome. Thanks so much. I always see these green tea fat burners, but I thought they don't really work. I am glad to know they worked for you, and hopefully they will work for me
  6. So what exactly is P90X? I have never heard of this. Is this something you can buy online? Is it expensive? Is a workout DVD type thing?
  7. .Thanks for the explanation. JazzyJude, if you can tell me, as well, what kind you are taking, and where you got it. I might have to try these out.
  8. This was my third surgery, and the easiest. I had a c-section and my tonsils out, and both of those were much harder then being banded. I don't really remember much about the procedure. However, once they gave me the relaxation pills for under my tongue, I was so disappointed, because when Dr. Ortiz came in to talk to me, all I could do was stare, smile and nod, and probably did some ridiculous giggle..lol. The procedure was really quick though, I only remember getting on this table, and having to keep scooting back because I am so tall, and then I don't even remember going to sleep, in fact, when it was done, I thought to myself, why are they waking me, I thought I hadn't even gone to sleep yet...lol. The only worry I had was the antibiotics. I am allergic to penicillin and two other major ones, and so I kept telling all the doctors what I couldn't have. But they reassured me that they wouldn't give me anything I am allergic to.
  9. JazzyJude, I would be very interested in hearing if they actually work for you. I have never taken anything like fat burners, things like that scare me..lol, but if it gives you more energy, I am all for it. Keep us updated
  10. Congrats!! For me, that's one thing I hope not to lose. I was barely a B when I was at my thinnest 13 years ago, now I am a C..I am really scared they will shrink again..lol
  11. Ok, so as soon as I made this post, I got a confirmation email from the OCC, that says I need to fast 2 hrs prior to the fill.
  12. I am going down to the OCC a week from today for my first fill, and I wasn't sure if I am supposed to eat light the day before, or not eat anything the day of the fill.
  13. My second day of solids, I had salad for lunch and had no problems. I am hoping this continues after my first fill next week, because I love salads!
  14. Congrats on being banded!! I hear ya on burping, it took me 3 days to finally get a really good burp out after surgery. Now I can really let huge ones out and they feel so good..lol. Take care of yourself
  15. Thank you so much for posting this. I am getting my first fill in a week and a half at the OCC, and I cannot wait. This week has been tough, because I feel like I can eat alot, compared to that first week on solids and it makes me discouraged. Also, since I am now used to eating, I seem to forget and not chew enough and eat too fast, and I can feel a slight feeling in my chest, like my band is telling me something..lol. So I need to learn to eat slow again and chew like I did those first few days of solids. I really hope to have some kind of restriction from my first fill.
  16. Hi Christy, I have also started working out harder, going on the treadmill, elliptical machine and stationary bike, but I haven't felt any pain or an uncomfortable feeling. Sorry to hear that you are Hopefully it's nothing serious, and maybe just from you breathing harder. Sorry, I was no help..lol. Take care!
  17. Whooo, expensive little things..lol. Thanks so much!!
  18. Hi JazzyJude, thanks for jogging my memory about those protein bullets, I have been trying to figure out how to get more protein in for the day. I do have a question about those, how many calories do they have? Also, I am sure you mentioned this before, but where do you get them (which store, not online), I checked the grocery store, walmart and target, and they didn't have them. Would the Vitamin Shoppe or GNC sell them, or what about Henry's Market? Ok thanks
  19. Congrats!!! Glad everything went well. Good luck on the rest of your journey.
  20. This is what I had after the initial clear liquids stage, some of it is higher on the calories, which Dr. Miranda would frown upon, but I still lost 18 lbs post op and it got me through it: hot chocolate low fat milk (for protein) strawberry milk chocolate milk protein drinks drinkable yogurts creamy soups popsicles power aide I had an occasional frozen yogurt I had occasional iced latte from starbucks ---- not exactly healthy..lol fudgsicles I even had ice cream from Cold Stone one night (without the mixin of course) orange juice
  21. That is very good to know. I only lost 7 lbs on the pre-op, and lost 18 after surgery, so I guess I am right on track. I had a NSV today, I tried on a pair of 22 jeans, which I haven't worn in 2 years, and they fit perfectly. So I did drop a size or maybe even 2. That made my day!!!
  22. Ya know, that definitely makes sense. You just get used to seeing the scale move everyday from the 21 liquid diet, so it gets frustrating when it doesn't move in a week or even more. My fill is scheduled for Feb 20th at the OCC, I can't wait. Good luck to you, too!!!
  23. Did you eat 1200 calories? Or less or more? I am eating way less then what I ate before banded, and I only eat when I feel hungry and stop when I feel satisfied. I feel like I am doing everything right.
  24. Yeah, it's very frustrating. I just don't understand how if you are doing everything right, how can you not lose weight.
