    -110lbs :)

    wow!! you look great!
  5. thanx. I found the picture online but I love them too. It's kind of a reminder that of what my goal is, I used to wear high heels all the time and during my weight gain, I couldn't even hold my weight in heels for 1 hr. That's just a motivator for me.

  6. hahaha no. I think it's to jumpstart your weightloss.
  7. that's exciting. I'm going to try to go back in Sept or Aug.
  8. 2 lbs away from entering the 150's and I go and gain 4 lbs.. darniit!

  9. I too, would always pick my band. I think I have more control, but I have not really researched plication, so you may want to discuss this with one of the doctors to see what is best for you.
  10. I would get really hungry, but it's because I would think about it so much. Stay busy, go for walks, organize something you've been meaning get to... I don't know, do what you enjoy and focus on that instead of the hunger. It's all mostly head hunger anyway. I hope it gets better.
  11. I'm sorry this happened. Talk about when it rains, it pours. Just know, we all have obstacles we face through our journey, so don't feel alone in this. Keep on pushing and things will eventually look up (keep reminding yourself this and you will see) Look on youtube or search online for exercises you can do that wont hurt your knees and stuff. Also, just watch what you eat, pretend you have a fill and keep eating like you have all the restriction in the world. I can't afford a fill right now and would really want to go see the OCC for a checkup but I can't afford it right now, so I trick myself in thinking I have restriction and only put on my plate what I think is appropriate for when I do have restriction. Don't let your financial situation determine your weight loss, I hope and wish you lots of success and smiles and rainbows and unicorns... big hug!!
  12. Thank you! I've been taking Biotin alone with my multivitamin...I'll try adding the other one. Thanx!
  13. Yes, I understand why they cost the same now... but they didn't cost the same to begin with.
  14. I'm kinda annoyed that the forum is not what it used to be. I remember back when everyone would update on their progress and motivate each other and everyone was pretty much a happy little WLS family. Everyone would share tips on what worked for them and were so active on the forum. I think I'm just going to take my support elsewhere. Anyone who'd like to keep in touch, is welcome to add me on Facebook. Message me and I'll give you my info. I wish everyone a successful journey. I won't be deleting my account, I just won't be checking my account so often. Am I alone on this?
  15. Great Job!! thank you for the inspiration.
  16. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/money_co/2011/04/lap-band-death-blamed-on-anesthesiologist.html thought I'd share this article about the Beverly Hills physicians that bombard our streets with billboards and tv commercials with their ads. Read on.
  17. yes, they hand you the receipt and I get email receipts too.
  18. I travel to TJ quiet often so It's not really an inconvenience. The price was $30 dollars, I thought that was a fair price. But $100 sounds a little too steep... how do you up the price $70 bucks? I might be ok with $10 or $20...but not $70. I guess if you've never had it checked and feel great then, I shouldn't worry too much. I just have this fear that I'm stretching or doing something to my band without knowing it. If I feel good then I shouldn't worry, right?

    Along the Road

you're such a great writer.. can't wait to read more. Also, that moment when you described walking into class and getting that type of attention, I can totally relate, it felt like I saw myself back in 10th grade.
  20. I went in December and paid less than half of what a fill costs. Which encouraged me to come back every few months and get checked to avoid any problems. So this month I thought I'd go back then I got the price and I was surprised, I asked her why and she said it was because they do it with a barium swallow and x-rays.. I told her , I knew! I've gotten my band checked before and I didn't pay that, she just said, "well the price went up" That was annoying. I probably might wait a few more months and go later but It's still not going to stop me from getting my band checked. $100 bucks is nothing compared to what I'd pay out here in Cali, besides I wouldn't trust anyone with my band other than the OCC.
  21. So I wanted to schedule a Check up at the OCC just to get my band checked... I come to find out... getting my band checked cost the same as a fill now. I was pretty much bummed out. I got a few fills last year and towards the end of the year I got my band checked to be on the safe side. Anyone else hear about this?
