  1. Thank you!!!!!! This is exactly what I was hoping to find! Thanks for finding it for us!!!
  2. the triangles actually, hubby got those tortilla "scoops" for himself and treated the soup like a chip dip. glad everybody liked the pic! haha!
  3. Paula has sexy legs. oh la la You look great!
  4. Mix: 2 Packages of 1 OZ SF/FF jello instant pudding 1 Package of 0.3 OZ SF jello gelatin 4 cups of skim or fat free milk (as described on pudding mix, NOT in addition to) Works with all sorts of combinations. Some ideas: Chocolate/Orange Chocolate/Raspberry Vanilla/Cherry Cheesecake/Strawberry Makes 4 (1 cup) servings. Garnish with fruit and/or lite whipped cream.
  5. This was GREAT! I had it with the whole can of enhilada sauce. I also crunched up (and chewed really well) some tortilla chips and added sour cream. In case you decide what you'll cook based on pics (like I do, haha): It made 4 of these size servings.
  6. Malt-o-meal is very good... especially with splenda.
  7. Try to space out your advancements... it helps makes mini-goals so that the 21 days of liquids goes by a little faster.
  8. I've also heard of people taking pics of their incisions and e-mailing them to Dr. Oritz to make sure he thinks they are okay. If it were me, I'd probably wait a few days, watch it and if it doesn't clear up head to a local doc. I don't like the way mine is crackling/peeling either but I'm afraid to pick at it.
  9. The flight (with discount ec03108) with Alaska is $282.10. I looked it up for you, I'm a dork, haha. So that plus the $100 for the fill and then the $100 transportation (that can be divided if you find someone to share with). How much will it cost you to get one done in portland? It was going to cost Kim and I $350 with the Fill Center USA people... and we really want the fluro (at least for the first one) to make sure everything is okay in there. It's a tough choice.... think of all the money you'll save by hardly eating anything. hahahaha, just kidding!
  10. And another one. http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?show...621&hl=glue apparently glue is a hot topic! haha!
  11. and another about an allergy to the glue. http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?show...417&hl=glue
  12. Here's a link to more glue talk. http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?showtopic=6680
  13. Awe, man! I looked up airfare and it'd be a $1200 flight. Maybe you can send a picture. :girl_haha:
  14. OMGosh that sounds SO good. Can I come over for dinner? Please? :give_rose:
  15. I think they want her to have milk 3 times a day.... she's on full liquids so she's not drinking WITH meals, they ARE the meals. I think she's just saying that she'll sorta hit 2 birds with one stone by using milk to make her breakfast soup. And yes, when you start the solids drinking with meals is a no-no.
  16. That's really good for you. I didn't realize until liquids that milk had so much protein. The protein helps you heal faster. I also got some of the Dannon Light & Fit drinkable yogurts and they've got some protein too.
  17. Congrats!!! Thanks for the protein bullet info, I posted a new thread so more people see it.
  18. cfuture88 mentioned these protein bullets in her re-cap post, looks interesting! http://www.bariatriceating.com/conewwhlipr.html Here's the product info: "New Whey Liquid Protein is the ultimate in convenience from the makers of IDS proteins; packaged in a portable 3 fluid ounce, virtually unbreakable plastic vial. A bit expensive, but might be the answer if you're picky. (Like me, haha). I ordered some, I'll report back when they get here.
  19. I'm in eastern (actually central) WA. It takes about the same time to get to the Seattle airport as the Spokane airport, I've been going out of Seattle because my sister-in-law is in Tacoma. We got banded the same day and wanted to travel together. We've had family camping plans for this 4th of July weekend since like August last year... so I won't be able to make it to the July 5th get together. Hopefully the next one though!
  20. Oh no, not the Paked Botato soup. Here's some info from one of the OCC patient coordinators: 1) What does a non-fluro fill cost? we only do fills under fluoro 2) What does a fill with fluro cost? $100 3) Is transportation to and from the airport to the OCC an additional charge? $199 gets you airport pick-up/return and your fill 4) What does it cost to stay at the lucerna for 1 night if we're there getting a fill? $279 gets you pick-up, fill, hotel & return 5) Do we arrange transportation and lodging or just let Rene know when we plan to be there? just call the clinic at 1-866-376-7849 ext. 2 and they can make those arrangements for you .... we scheduled the fill with Claudia over the phone, got our plane tickets and then sent the itinerary to Rene and he said "consider it done." We're going to leave SeaTac at something like 7 am and then come back that same night, so we won't need a hotel. (or to pack any bags, just purses) You should try to get a day off and meet us there!!!! Our appts are at 1pm. Oh, and the transportation cost apparently we can split between however many people are going (not why I want you to go, just saying that b/c I thought of it, haha). Kim got the family dinner yesterday in a bigger setting (nephew bday) and now it's my turn tomorrow. I'll figure something out, haha.
  21. I don't know what your doc says, but Dr. Miranda says we have to be able to drink it through a straw. (That's why we're obsessed with blending, lol). For breakfast sometimes I have runny malt-o-meal and it has been quite tasty!
  22. My in-laws are coming to visit! They don't know about the band.... a bit nervous about how I'll have just liquids without them asking questions. My sister-in-law and I got banded at the same time and we didn't tell them (my in-laws, her parents) so hopefully nothing slips.
  23. If I watch the food network shows I swear I can smell it... hahaha.... then of course I have to go find it so I can taste it.
  24. Thanks everybody!!! > I'll try setting some goals of when to have a certain amount of water to drink as the day goes on. I think that will really help me! And thanks for pointing out the 15 mins before, that does make more sense, especially if it just flows right through. Thanks again!
  25. I remember Dr. Miranda saying, "make it not gooey." Then she gave lots of examples, like corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas, toast instead of a slice of bread, grain rice instead of white rice. I'm still on liquids and only dream of bread, so this isn't from experience, just what I remember Dr. Miranda saying.
