  1. Glad you are doing well! I was shocked as well that I wasn't hungry at all after the surgery - about day 11 or 12 it started to become noticable and by 15 I was dying for food lol Good luck sounds like u are doing great so far!!
  2. good luck with your band!!!! i am glad everything went well
  3. Thanks everyone... I appreciate the advice. I think I am honestly just still eating too much. if I have a great workout (like today) I seem to think I can eat tons throughout the day and I shouldnt think that. I wear a heart rate monitor that tells me how many calories I burn at the gym so if I burn 800+ I seem to grab a cookie at work or a bag of chips. I am falling into bad habits, I watch the calories but I need to watch the quality of the food I am eating. Thanks, I will let you know how the next two weeks go before my fill.
  4. My fill doc won't do fills that close together because she told me it can take up to 3 weeks for your fill to kick in.... so I would probably wait. I currently have 3cc in my 4cc band and I am not at my sweet spot yet.
  5. Ok I need some help Let me start by saying I do have a fill scheduled June 6th - my fill center only does fills every other Saturday so that was the soonest I could get in. I have been at the same exact weight, down to the decimal point, for 2 weeks. (219.8) I workout 5 days per week, 2 of those days are with my personal trainer. I burn 400-800 calories every day depending on what I am doing. I am eating 1200-1600 calories per day and drinking 160-210 oz of water per day. I really don't get it why I am stuck... I did just start my period today so last week was pms and the week before that I was on vacation and traveling... but honestly the numbers don't make sense, I should be dropping weight. Any ideas on how I can get the scale moving again before my fill? I am trying to fit into my bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding June 27th so I cannot afford to go 2 more weeks without losing weight before my fill. Thanks for any help!
  6. Great topic I have been stuck at this weight for 2 weeks and I workout every morning before work and 2 days a week is with a personal trainer and I drink 150-200oz of water a day... so i couldnt figure out why I wasnt losing so I got a food journal and realized how much I am eating due to my "snacks" at work. I work around 11 hours a day and I was popping things in my mouth all the time without realizing it. I have kept track of my food all of this week and Im trying to figure out where I am going wrong and Im trying to cut out the snacks. I think its time for me to get another fill because I can eat more now... but right now money is tight...
  7. I tried a banana the other day for the first time and 2 bites in I was pbing.... weird! it hurt alot! no more for me!
  8. Mammaoftwins - Good luck with the fill!!! I just got off my period so I am hoping this week is better for me... I stayed the exact same weight all week.... which i guess is good since usually i would have gained a few pounds. Still at 220...
  9. Carrie, We are actually pretty close in weight, I am at 220 now, but we started out about the same too!! I cannot wait to be under 200!!!! oh I will be so happy to see a **1** on the scale!
  10. Good luck to you all!! this reminds me of another board I used to belong to when I lost weight before, we did "Challenges" and we would keep the same thread going for those of us in the challenge and each week it was something different such as 30 min daily exercise, drinking an extra bottle of water a day, etc... but each Friday we would weigh in, and that friday weigh in really kept me accountable - So did the support from the other ladies. Anyone interested in doing something like that?
  11. i can only eat thin crust pizza and usually 1 or 1 1/2 pieces and I am done. I only eat cheese pizza too so there isnt much going in lol it is crazy cause I used to get pan crust and eat a whole pizza over the course of 2 meals. Im so glad I cant do that anymore.
  12. I understand how you feel. In 2005 I dieted and exercised hard and lost about 65 pounds in about 4 1/2 months. My lowest weight was around 208 and no matter how much i worked our or dieted, I couldnt get below that. I was a comfy size 12 at this weight (i am tall and hold my weight well) but I wanted desperately to get below 200. I held this weight for about 6 months then put on about 30 pounds...... I kinda gave up on working out and ate everything i wanted..... SO I got the band. lol I am hoping to be under 200 pounds by the end of June this year for my sisters wedding, which will mean losing about 20 more pounds. I hope I dont get stuck again!!
  13. No, I have to pay in advance for the dress before Davids Bridal will order it...they will re-order another size for me in exchange for the dress I have. My mother is coming to visit me on Friday, shes going to help me decide if its too much of a gap because of my chest. I havent tried a bra minimizer but I do use Spanx!!! they are amazing thanks
  14. I take several supplements too and Ive had 2 fills and so far no issues getting any of them down. My largest is CLA, I just make sure I drink before and after the pill and I wait a minute or two to take another one. It can take like 5 mins to take them, kinda annoying but worth it!
  15. how is your sister doing now? I am sorry she is not doing so welll....
  16. I drink a shake or just a small chocolate milk in the morning for some protein and calcium. I CAN eat in the mornings if I have worked out in the morning, but its not enjoyable, its still kind of a struggle so I usually dont even bother, but if I try, its usually just some scrambled eggs with some cheese.
  17. Hey everyone, My sister is getting married June 27th of this year. I tried on my dress at the store about 3 weeks ago and the size 18 fit perfectly. Well I didn't want to pay a ton in alterations, so I ordered a 16. I figured that was pretty reasonable. well I got the dress in yesterday, and it zips perfectly through the hips and stomach, but when it gets to my upper back/chest, there is about a 4 inch gap between the zipper!!! I had my 2nd fill and now I am at 3cc in my 4cc band. Ive lost about 9 pounds in the past 22 days since my fill... and I didnt work out the week of Easter or the week after so it was pretty effortless to lose the weight. Now that I am back in the gym full time I am hoping it comes off quicker... My question is, do you think I should return the dress and order the 18 and have it sized down if I need to or take my chances and just work hard to fit into this dress I have? I basically have 9 1/2 weeks left. Is this too hard of a goal? I have always had huge boobs, i wear a 38DD now.... I dont want to get to the week of the wedding and not fit into the dress....but this is also GREAT motivation... it IS afterall my BABY sister getting marrried BEFORE me.... .not that I am bitter Thanks for the help! Christy
  18. Congrats! thats an amazing goal to hit in one year, you did amazing!
  19. I take vitamin b12 and b6 and Biotin and my hair and nails are growing like crazy. I havent tried the prenatals.
  20. my BMI was 34. I have lost the weight on my own before and it came back slowly over years - the band doesnt let you over eat - from stress or anything else that may make you over eat - even the love of food - which is why I got it. it puts in the self control I obviously dont consistantly have. Good luck, the OCC is amazing
  21. I was wondering about this the other day - I have had no carbonation since the night before surgery and I havent really missed it at all, only 2 times have I really craved a diet coke. Since liquids go straight through the pouch, I was wondering if it would hurt to drink them now... but I still havent. It will be nice after the 6 month mark to have a sip or two if I want it and have something besides water lol good to know i have the option and others are able to drink anything they like after 6months
  22. Billy Blanks bootcamp dvds are probably the hardest dvds ive ever done (meaning they wear you out, not that you cant do it) - you definitely sweat!!!!
  23. Congrats that is amazing in just 6 months! You have done an amazing job I hope I am that successful!!
