  1. My first fill only lasted a month...then I went for another about 7 weeks later..so far I am on my third fill for 3 weeks now. It may take several fills/adjustments before they start to last awhile. Book another!!!
  2. Kim, OHIP doesn't cover lapband..no matter how much you weigh...only Gastric Bypass. I paid for my surgery in Mississauga, no coverage unfortunately.
  3. Congrats on your band!!! Evette is right, it could be healing pain. Your stomach is healing and the band is permanently imprinting into your stomach. Feel better!!
  4. I agree...I follow the rules for meals, but if I need a snack during the day or in the evening, I continue to drink my water. I am so glad you posted this question, because I wasn't sure either.
  5. Hi Cara, I am so excited for you...I have a feeling this is it!!! You don't have much more room left for another, so it better be eh!!?? Look forward to talking to you again on Saturday...have fun!!!
  6. Paker325, Unless you are a lapband patient or patient to be...do not post Ads here.
  7. Hi there and welcome!!! I had success for about 4 weeks and then got another fill. My second fill last about 7 weeks and now I am three weeks into my third. I have 5.5 cc in my 9cc band. I hope it works for you!!
  8. Great post and thanks for sharing your story. You have done great and the best is yet to come!!!
  9. We are here to help in any way we can, so long ranting posts are okay, don't feel badly. I hope you are doing better and ready to back on track to the goal!! Take care!!
  10. Don't think of it as starting over, think of it as the healthy way of going forward with this lifestyle change. Having restriction is great and we all strive for it, but if you are so tight you can't eat, that's not healthy. I wish you luck and so happy you are feeling better and still pumped to continue your journey!! Take care!
  11. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR RAMONA!!! You have yourself a deal my friend...you can do it and I will hold you to it!!! Have a wonderful day and celebrate your success so far!!
  12. Like the others have said, post op you are going to gain and lose, up and down throughout the 21 days. Do not focus on weight loss, focus on healing. After you've had your first fill, you inpose the portion control and 1200 calories per day. Until then, just get well again. Obsessing about the numbers early on, will set up for frustration as this process goes on. Put the scale away until after yoru first fill and then only take it out once a week. NSV (non-scale victories) are much more rewarding!! Good Luck!!
  13. Way to go Kimmie!!! You rock girl!!! I can't see the pics here at work, but I can imagine how wonderful you look!!! Keep it up girl!!! Okay now I can see the pics and wow you look amazing, great legs girl!!!
  14. Hi there and welcome!! Congrats on your decision to get banded!!! The pre-op diet will be set out by your surgeon and believe me honey, you won't be having too much of anything during this time. The standard is 2 shakes and lean cuisine...that's it!!! Good Luck!!!
  15. I am with Cara and hope that you both find the path that leads to a happier life!! Take care.
  16. The others have said it all..you are right on track...10 lbs per month is amazing!! Try not to focus on the numbers so much and relish in the non-scale victories. You will lose more inches than lbs my dear!!! Keep up the great work!!!
  17. Hi there and welcome!! I am so sorry you had to ensure such stress while trying to make one of the most important decisions of your life. I certainly hope you can get your money back and arrange for surgery at the OCC or elsewhere. We are here for support and to answer any of your questions...good luck, take care and please keep us advised as to how things are going for you!!
  18. Hi there and welcome!! Any chewable or liquid multi-vitamin will do...I also take B12 strips and Biotin (increased metabolism and prevents hairloss). Any drug store will have these items!!
  19. Hi there and welcome!! My diet plan was a little different from the OCC, I was banded in Canada. On the clear liquid diet for 7 days, you can have the following: water, broth, popcicles, clear diluted juices, plus any other clear liquids you can think of On the non-clear liquid for 14 days, you can have the following: water, fudgecicles, liquid yogurt, shakes, creamy soups and any clear liquid from prev. list. Anything you can get through a straw you can have. It's not easy, but it's worth it!!!!
  20. Welcome and congrats on your accomplishments so far!!! You are doing fantastic...keep up the great work!!!
