  1. I just got back from the OCC today. Crossed the San Diego border going down on Monday and returned today Thursday morning. There was absolutely NO issues. Felt completely safe the whole time. Roxanne
  2. Thank you for your kind words and wishes. This is such an wonderful support group, I have been in many weight loss groups but never felt the support that I feel here. Thanks to all. R
  3. I know you will do it. I can hear the stick to it ness in your words. Keep up the GREAT work
  4. I am scheduled for the 3rd. And I also are spending these final days before the surgery second guessing myself. But I know in my heart that I will not continue to lose on my own so this is my option. I lose self control after about 30 to 45 days on a diet and then give up. So now the band will remind me of the true path. Hopefully our paths will cross while we are down there.
  5. I got it through Amazon.com. It is Lap Band for life. excellent resource.
  6. Hugs from Washington, awesome journey you are embarking on. Keep up the wonderful work and faith.
  7. I just cannot imagine this journey with out the forum. I am a couple of days from surgery, have already gotten below surgery weight and have never felt so supported in a journey such as this. I like many of you have tried everything to lose the weight. It seems once I made this decision and found the forum, the weight is steadily dropping. I told my husband yesterday that it makes me wonder why it has always been so difficult before and it momentarily made me think I could continue on my own. Once I "got real" with myself, I knew that if I did not follow through with the surgery, it would just be a repeat of my previous attempts. I want to thank all of you for all the honesty that I see/read and the support of each other. R
  8. Thank you for your post and your honesty. My reasons are similar to yours and it warms my heart to have somewhere to go to post thoughts, dreams, revelations and not be judged.
  9. My thoughts and blessings are with you.

  10. Love your blog, thanks for sharing. I go to Tijuana in 3 days. I am soooo excited
  11. way to go, bet you had a blast

  12. I also make that decision about 3 weeks ago. It was basicly becoming a dust collector. Great job

  13. Wishing you a safe journey and wonderful experiences. I am a week after you so I look forward to following your footsteps.
  14. You should be sooo proud of yourself both for losing the weight and being willing to share your story. Thank you
  15. Take is from a complete stranger- YOU LOOK FANTASTIC.
  16. Wow, How exciting. No treat is good enough to stop the wonderful progress (my opinion)
  17. Just felt the need to say that although I have not even been to the OCC yet (surgery 8/3/10), the quick responsiveness of all of the OCC staff I have had the chance to encounter via email/phone has made me feel so comfortable and safe with my decisions. Everyone has been tremendous. Between the awesome support and encouragement I am receiving from all of you Bandsters and then the responsiveness of the OCC, I absolutely know I have made a great choice and decision. Just finished reading Dr O's book and it filled in soooo many blanks for me. Thanks to everyone
  18. you are sooo welcome. I am new to this but can't tell anyone/everyone what a fabulous support team this is. AWESOME individuals on a huge journey of their own, sharing insights, laughter and nerves. How can we not win?
  19. I can offer up the suggestion of using Monistat's Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder Gel. I have large thighs and have always had the rub issue. I have done the 3 day 60 mile Susan G Komen walk and using this chafing gel have not had any issues. Good luck
  20. half way for my 5% loss for surgery and 13 days to go.

  21. I'm a newbie as well but have to say these wonderful people on the forums are the greatest support you can find.
