  1. It was 97 degrees here today.... 30 minutes of walking...10-15 of yard work
  2. Okay so I went to a wedding in Savannah this weekend...for the first time in a long time I felt pretty!!!!! I didn't feel like the huge girl with all the pretty little wives and girlfriends...and of course I got no pictures. ....anyone else had a moment like this since starting to lose weight?
  3. I am so sorry that happened to you! Take care of yourself!
  4. I am three and a half weeks out and pretty much back to normal...still get a little tired easily...but I am a teacher and there are only 23 days left of school so that could be it too I say go for it and have fun!!!!!!
  5. :lb24: :lb9: Congratulations and welcome to bandland! I am glad to hear you had a great experience!
  6. Okay, so day one of the challenge and the only reason I got off of my butt was because I came and read this post!!!!! Thanks for getting my butt in gear, hopefully by the end of the month there will be considerably less of it to get in gear. So, I walked for 30 minutes then did a few strength exercises for another 10! Everyone have a great day! Lynn
  7. :lb21: Congratulations!!!! I am glad to hear that everything went well!!!!!

I mean I want to lose weight.....Just how do you get everything in like you said and stay healthy? Renee....I like the name and we will definitely have to make plans with everyone..... I am doing good...staying the same this week on the scale...but I got into a regular...not plus size 16 pair of pants today that I haven't been able to wear for years!!!!!!!!!! Maybe the pounds will come off late in this week or next week....
  9. Welcome to the group!! and Best Wishes to the May bandsters! >
  10. Dani, Don't be so hard on yourself! We have all been there. I am three and a half weeks post op so still fairly new. As for emotional eating, I know from reading posts that many people go to a therapist. For right now, when I am angry/upset/frustrated...I go for a walk, come here for support and believe it or not breathe deep and keep going...I am a fourth grade teacher so when it is a tough day and the kids offer me there cookies I have to turn them down now. I had a wonderful experience going to TJ to OCC to have my lap band placed! As a matter of fact, I had not planned to go back for my first fill and instead have it done at a fill center usa, but the staff is so wonderful and caring that I am headed back to Mexico. I really feel I got personal attention and care that surpass what I get here in the states. Here we are restricted a lot of times by what am HMO/insurance provider tells us to do and so are our doctors....at the OCC I did not feel rushed or as if I was one of 100 patients and they just wanted to run me through the necessary mill and get on to the next patient...again not dissing my docs they have a lot of pressure on them.....So, all this means...GO for it...you will love it!!!!!!! Lynn btw...don't look at my grammar......I am honestly a good teacher
  11. I will go for the gold!!!!!!!! I will walk, jog, swim, and who knows what else by the end of the month!!!!!! Great Idea Michelle, thanks for doing it!
  12. Keep me posted! I might could come over the summer...I haven't been to Vegas and would love to come and meet more bandsters!
  13. It is not fill time for me, but I wish you the best of luck finding that "sweet spot" and losing more weight. I too am very scale driven and understand your frustration...sometimes it helps me to think about it all together rather than as individual weeks...
  14. The last time I looked the fluroscopy was 100-120...I forget exactly
  15. I would stay at the OCC and see you husband in the morning. As for computers both the hotel and OCC have computers available to use...As soon as I could I emailed my friends to let them know I was okay after surgery.
  16. Does sucking the cheese off of cheetos count?!??!
  17. Hello fellow caffeine addict! You will not be able to have coffee the day of surgery, because of fasting. After that you are able to...I don't know if you will be able to get down two cups but I had coffee the day after surgery. Dr Miranda told me to...that they don't want anyone getting a migraine from not having the coffee...which I do by about 3pm if I haven't had my caffeine. Good Luck on your surgery, everything will go great!

  20. You will be just fine! I know it is hard to leave your baby but think of it as doing it so you will be around for her a lot longer. Congratulations and let us know how you do!
  21. I purchased premade EAS drinks and used that for lunch!
  22. I went by myself to TJ for surgery. You both will be impressed with the OCC. I had a wonderful experience and am very happy I made the decision to go to TJ to the OCC for my surgery. I would do it again in a heartbeat! I am going back for my first fill too! If your sister will and wants to have her send me a message with any questions on here...just click my name and send message. I will be happy to reply...
