  1. Best place in the world.....The OCC. I have talked to a lot of people since having the surgery and they all say the samething, Mexico is the only place to go and to top that the OCC is the only clinic to go to. I have talked to people who have had the surgery here is Canada and they wish that they went to Mexixo, Even my fill Doctor is impressed with Mexico he said I couldn't have gone to a better place. So glad your going to do it, your hubby will be with you every step of the way! Jenelle
  2. Im in a different boat than you, because I have/had a total of 130lbs to lose but just think next year you could have 100lbs to lose, or maybe more? Not to bring you down or be rude. I think you should do it. Its not about the amount you need to lose, its about having to lose any amount of weight to be a healthy happy you. I know there are a few people on here that had a little amount of wieght to lose like yourself, Im sure they will chime in! Not sure how to say this without being rude, but 70lbs is a lot of weight. I have lost 42lbs so far and cant believe the differnce I feel in my day to day life. You are worth it. Wishing you all the best. I would have this band done a hundreds times over again, if it ment being happy, no matter what amount of weight i needed to lose. Jenelle
  3. Got to love those. I too have been having a hard time seeing the weight loss. Keep up the great work, Jenelle
  4. Oh girl, I know what your going through!! IT SUCKS, but keep on :lb25: and keep your focus on your meal sizes, getting in your exercise and making a routine out of your new life. A lot of people dont lose until their fills are at the right level, me included. I lost 20 some odd pounds in the first month and a bit after surgery and nothing since then. I have been post op for 3 months, and have been the same weight for the past 2 months. I am running and going to curves and the scale does not move. AHHHHHH, But like I said one step at a time and im sure the weight will move for the two of us. I am going for my second fill on thursday so here's to hoping that the scale will move. Chin up, this is not an easy rollercoaster ride. Jenelle
  5. If you search and go to the San Diego Zoo Website you can get tickets and hotel deals. There are a lot of hotels that will pick you up from the Airport, give you passes to the Zoo, with transportation to and from, as well as the OCC will (should) be able to pick you up from the hotel instead of the airport. They picked my mom and I up at a hotel in Hotel Circle when I had my surgery! I havent done this but I looked into it cause I was going to do the same thing as yourself! Good Luck. Let us know how the trip was, Jenelle

  10. I agree more of a discomfort than pain! J
  11. For me I was pain free, I had my surgery on a Thursday and could have very easly gone back to work on the Monday, I booked two weeks off, I took advantage of my time off but I could have gone back. I did have gas pain, in and around the stomach not so much at the other end, haha. When I had the gas pain I would walk it out. I was an easy case so I would say you should be fine, but maybe let your boss know that you will come back and work half days for the first week or book more time off. The sitting part was not an issue for me. I hope this helps, I hope more people post so you get a varity of answers, Good luck and welcome to BANDLAND!! Jenelle

  16. My Great Aunt had her band removed in January for medical reasons that she could not control, Her body just rejected the band). She continues to this day to eat very small portions and follows the rules as if she still has the band. I will send my best wishes to your sister! Its not easy to lose the weight and then have your band removed, but she needs to know that she is worth it and deserves to be happy, just because her body can't handle the band doesn't mean she should give up! Tell her to smarten up or she will put the weight back on and then some! Jenelle
